The Meliá Barcelona Sky Hotel is a 120-meter-tall building with 31 floors, making it the fourth tallest skyscraper in the city of Barcelona, completed in late 2007. The building consists of two cubic sections: the base, which is 50 meters high and houses offices and meeting rooms, and the tower, which rises from one end of the base as an imposing cantilever that stretches upward in a slender form, where the hotel itself is located, with 261 rooms. This complexity in construction gives it a unique character.
The facades are covered in metal and glass, materials that both reflect the surrounding landscape, helping it blend into the urban fabric, and also allow natural light into the building thanks to the rays of the sun.
Designed by the French architect Dominique Perrault and situated in a prime location in the district of Poblenou, the Meliá Barcelona Sky Hotel provides sophisticated rooms with state-of-the-art technology and personalised services designed to ensure maximum comfort.
